Farecast Adds Former Expedia CEO Erik Blachford to Board of Directors

Online travel industry veteran deepens Farecast's travel expertise

SEATTLE– December 12, 2006 — Farecast.com, the first and only airfare prediction website, announced today the addition of former Expedia Chief Executive Officer, Erik Blachford to its board of directors. Erik joins a strong team of travel industry veterans and experienced technology executives including CEO and former Priceline executive, Hugh Crean, Farecast founder Oren Etzioni, Madrona Venture Group partner Matt McIlwain and Moshe Mor, partner at Greylock Partners.

Erik was most recently CEO of IAC/InterActiveCorp's travel division, including Expedia, Hotels.com, Hotwire, Classic Custom Vacations and Interval International. Prior to Expedia's acquisition by IAC, Erik was CEO of Expedia, Inc. Erik is a graduate of Princeton University and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Erik also serves on the board of directors at Zillow Inc., Sharebuilder Corp and Surfparks LLC.
