We are pleased to offer another new feature for your consideration – Fare Alerts. A Fare Alert allows you to track low fares for a trip via email. When you search for a fare and receive a prediction that fares are dropping, you can do more than twiddle your thumbs as you wait to buy. Just set up a Fare Alert and let us tell you when that fare drops!
You will find links in search results or in the My Account area to set up a Fare Alert. For each Fare Alert you create, you will select:
- Your departure airport
- Your destination airport
- Your specific dates or “weekends only”
- Your number of passengers
- How often you wish to receive Fare Alerts
- When you would like Fare Alerts to stop
Once you’ve saved the options for your Fare Alert, you’re all set. We will send you Fare Alerts via email based on your preferences, and each Fare Alert will contain the latest low fare for your selected trip.
So now you have a choice. Track low fares via Fare Alerts email or sign up to track a trip via RSS. Either way, we bring the low fares to you.
Note: Currently, Fare Alerts and RSS feeds are only available to/from U.S. airports where Fare Predictions are offered.
Love that you guys implemented a “weekend only” feature for the fare alert. Have you guys considered allowing just a departure city and a fare rate? Or allowing multiple destinations in just one alert?
I like to fly on the weekends and am always looking for a great deal to a new city. Instead of me setting up 80 fare alerts, it’d be great to just set one up that says notify me when a ticket under $200 is available for any city or a select group.
Keep up the good work!
